I got the impression that everyone was so tickled to see President Clinton that they didn't mind at all.

I saw him in person back in 2006 when he came to my little burg to campaign for my district's (NY-20) Democratic candidate for Congress. He really is a brilliant speaker with such charisma! And Kirsten Gillibrand won!

Bill is larger than life. He exudes charisma. My favorite Bill Maher quote is one from years ago. He had said that he couldn't understand why so many people were going on and on about Bill's charisma, until he met him. After meeting him he said: "I wanted to f*ck him".

I live in a very red district - most local offices are decided in the Republican primary. *sigh* But it was SRO to see President Clinton and everyone was charmed by him. He really is larger than life. My boyfriend got to shake his hand and said he'd never wash it...
