1. I could not have less respect for the opinion of the writer.

I can safely say we're not losing the Senate, we may even retake the House...and the only way we're losing the WH in 2016 is if Clinton's dithering drives every other electable candidate out of the race...then she decides herself not to run leaving us with some back-bench nominee.

Beyond that, Ginsburg has earned the right to leave the court as she sees fit...as does Breyer. The likelihood of Kennedy surviving another 10 years are poor. I'd be surprised if Scalia is alive in 2024 as well. We just as easily could be looking at a 6-3 left-leaning court...and for all my other criticisms of Hillary, I trust her more to make good SCOTUS appointments than I trust Obama to do so.

It's a safe bet that his next appointee will be more conservative than either Breyer or Ginsburg who they'd be replacing. No to moving the court rightward under Democratic presidents.
