2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumBook On Rubio Details Grandfather Defying Deportation Order
Marco Rubios maternal grandfather was ordered back to Cuba because he flew here without a visa according to an new book by Manual Roig-Franzia, a Style section writer for the Washington Post.
the grandfathers treatment during his 1962 run-in with federal authorities was not unlike the present-day experiences of many Mexicans and Central Americans who come to the United States legally but later run afoul of visa laws and find their lives irreversibly upended.
Rubio was born a U.S. citizen in Miami in 1971 to two Cuban exiles who arrived in the U.S. in the late 1950s. Roig-Franzia reports that the grandfather, Pedro Victor García, did not leave the U.S. as ordered, but remained in Miami, possibly on retroactive refugee status.

No, because the GOP has gotten PLENTY of favors from the Cuban-Americans in Miami/Florida.

They should be reminded that Cuban born Americans were given special priority treatment.

(12,164 posts)1. So, in Teabagger theology,
doesn't that mean all his descendents have to be deported?

And I bet the Dark Side Forum is spitting on the author of the book as a "typical lib journalist spewing unfounded crap" rather than calling Rubio an anchor baby.

I thought according to the Free Republic/Michelle Malkin/True American Patriot script, America MUST be sovereign to all foreigners and thus keep them waiting in line for citizenship!!!
