For me: it's interesting how the usually vocal and obscene FaceBook right-wingers have been...

...quiet during this shutdown.
For once, maybe they see the greed (and unabashed un-American attitude) in their party.
...or maybe their just drunk.

I have several rightwing fb followers.

Yes, they are suddenly more reserved than usual. Many are not posting at all.

They instantly shut up when I reply to them with a link to one of the many recent Faux Noise reports. For example:

http://www.forwardprogressives.com/delusional-republican-congressman-gets-called-out-for-his-stupidity-on-fox-news/

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/10/13/negotiations-stall-on-capitol-hill-house-leaves-collins-plan-in-serious-doubt/

Or John McCain.

Throw their heroes in their faces. Often.

president who is mean enough to shut down war memorials and shit. All that punctuated by words like "dumb monkey" and "nigger" which they assure me means an ignorant person regardless of race (they say we should get out of the 1940s and reclaim the word for what it is supposed to mean and if I don't agree with that meaning... well they owe me nothing so I should get bent). I am so entirely sick of these people. So very very sick of it. I just combed through 500 comments on how he is responsible for all the ills of the government. Oh yeah... he can't prove he's an american and a funny one to me was that he is not old enough to run the country as according to the constitutionally mandated minimum age. That one really struck me as new.

...I still hear my tea party neighbors letting out nervous guffaws when in groups, though.
