Ron Paul Calls For 'Nullification' Of Obamacare: 'Pretty Soon...We're Just Going To Ignore The Feds'

TOM KLUDT – NOVEMBER 5, 2013, 7:36 AM EST

Stumping on behalf of Virginia gubernatorial hopeful Ken Cuccinelli on Monday, former congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul predicted that states will soon "ignore the feds" while calling for "nullification" of the Affordable Care Act.

“Jefferson obviously was a clear leader on the principle of nullification,” Paul said at a rally in Richmond, Va., according to Politico.

“I’ve been working on the assumption that nullification is going to come. It’s going to be a de facto nullification. It’s ugly, but pretty soon things are going to get so bad that we’re just going to ignore the feds and live our own lives in our own states."

As Politico noted, Paul was invoking a term with deep roots in the Civil War era while speaking in a former capital of the confederacy. He also decried the taxes associated with the health care law.

Ron Paul needs to go back to 1855 where he is comfortable with white privilege and ownership rights.

I don't think, this is about racism or entitlement. I think he has a radically different view of what it means to be part of a larger society or civilization. If you are part of a society, there are rules you have to play by. You give and you get. That's the social contract.

In Ron Pauls mind, each individual has the freedom to partake in a society to a varying degree that he's comfortable with. He doesn't get that there are situations where ALL MEMBERS of a community HAVE to work together, regardless of individual wishes. In these circumstances "part-time-citizens" are a drag on society and therefore cannot be tolerated.

For example: In fortified cities of the 16th century (or something like that), each workers-guild was responsible for defending a section of the city-wall if it came to a siege. Bakers, stone-masons, butchers, carpenters... Now imagine if one of those groups had said. "We opt out. We won't defend our part of the wall, and we don't ask you to defend us either."

They believe that that "freedom" is for white men to live how they like and tell others how they should live. It doesn't only extend to what they themselves are able to do, they want others to live how they want them to live.

He would call the mayors in the middle of the night and threaten to transfer all the soldiers in their nearby base to another base. The loss of all those GIs in the local economy would have been devastating. LBJ could not shut the base, but he could order the bulk of the soldiers to be moved to another base.

So Mr. Paul you'll get all these Americans their assets back from the IRS? you're the one giving legal advice to "ignore the Feds"

Under authority of the Internal Revenue Code, the property described here has been seized or acquired for nonpayment of internal revenue taxes and will be sold.
