Chris Christie To Campaign For Lindsey Graham

TOM KLUDT – NOVEMBER 6, 2013, 9:19 AM EST

Sen. Lindsey Graham's (R-SC) re-election bid will evidently get a lift from one of the most popular governors in the country and a top 2016 contender.

Fresh off a landslide victory Tuesday, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) told the New York Times that he intends to go to “places like Ohio and Michigan and Florida,” all of which have GOP governors facing re-election next year.

According to the Times, Christie informed Republicans in South Carolina he intends to go to bat for Graham, who is facing a GOP primary next year.

A poll released last week showed Graham's approval rating taking a big hit in South Carolina, including a steep drop among GOP voters.

Christie reportedly declined an invitation to campaign on behalf of Ken Cuccinelli, who lost a tight Virginia gubernatorial race Tuesday.

Probably not.

But you never know maybe they want to try and kill two birds with one stone.

No christie at home dems control the state legislation.

Let the rest of the country really meet christie - they probably won't like him and he might take down a few of the repub he is campaigning for.

Either way it is what it is.

I still think christie creates more of an issue for repubs/baggers then dems. I'm not under estimating him, he is smart but he also has a huge ego. And ego tends to make one really stupid at the worst times.

He is a wedge in this party. Many love him. Many tolerate him. Many loathe him. And that's just the repubs/baggers.

and his bullish arrogance will not play well at all. He may hide it for a while but just wait for the wrong question to come his way...

6. This will do a lot to shatter Christie's hope of running for President and will sink Graham for good

I hope. Christie will have to really show his true RW stripes campaigning in SC and when he does, the Independents and Liberals and Libertarians will take note and mark him off.
