Who would believe this? Herman Cain went on Fox News Americas Newsroom and spoke some truth to the Republican Party. The once GOP darling that ran for the Republican nomination for President in 2012 may be waking up to the intrinsic prejudice within his party.
Herman Cain said the Republican Party has a branding problem. The RNC sent out a flyer to some of its members talking about potential 2016 presidential candidates. Do you know what they had in common?
, he said. They were all white. Where was Allen West. Where was Dr. Ben Carson. And have they ruled out the possibility that I might consider another run?
None of this should surprise Herman Cain. If he kept his eyes open he would have seen that people like him, Allen West, Dr. Ben Carson, and other minorities sole purpose is to be used as props. They generally have no power or say in the direction of the Republican Party.

Even Rinsed Penis is smart enough not to propose people with crazy views to his, largely, white, racist base - candidates who also happen to be black.

(73,631 posts)Some previously prominent Black Republican drops out of the limelight, where he or she has been touted as a role model for Blacks in the GOP, and later on comes out with a revelation that the Republican Party really doesn't like Black people at all.
I don't know why Black Republicans never talk to each other about this problem, because it becomes really embarrassing for the party leadership to have to deal with this, especially while they're in the midst of a phony baloney minority outreach campaign.

(9,350 posts)Herman Cain has not come to a realization that the Republican Party's policies are preventing it for gaining more support among minorities. He is just angry that the Republican Party is no longer kissing his butt. If he, or maybe the men he mentioned, would have been included on that flyer he would have still been happy with the Republican Party. Maybe there was more to what Herman Cain said, but from the information in the article he did not say anything critical of the policies of the Republican Party. He only complained that the party leadership had not put him, or the men he mentioned, on a flyer promoting the potential 2016 Republican Presidential candidates.
Say what you will about Colin Powell, but he actually took on the Republican Party. At one point, Colin Powell supposedly called out the Republican Party for the difference between its stances on welfare and corporate welfare. Powell reportedly told Republicans they were wrong to attack welfare, but to remain silent on corporate welfare. Colin Powell did not complain that the Republican Party had a race problem because it did not put out a flyer promoting him as a possible Republican presidential nominee; he actually complained about the policies.
