My son rushed home from work, picked up his insurance card which had arrived in that day's mail, and went to a doctpr's appointment and found out his blood pressure is too high.

2. I did! Yesterday I went to the same doctor I always use....

He was so happy for me that he could finally run all of the tests I have needed for the past eight years. He used to say that treating me with my old health insurance was like practicing medicine in Somalia.

When you add in the deductibles and out of pocket, I am paying about the same for insurance that, now, actually insures my health. I just made appointments with my endocrinologist and a cardiologist for a stress test.

Thank You President Obama, everyone who worked so hard to make this possible and everyone who voted for and supported our President.

3. Nope. Don't know anyone that signed up on the insurance exchanges.

But, my ex-daughter-in-law in WV was seriously ill from brittle diabetes, from circulatory problems in her legs, high blood pressure and kidney damage. She was on the state's indigent program and doctor and specialist appointments were booked months in advance. She was able to get on the state's fledgling Medicaid Extended program in its infancy a couple of years ago and it literally saved her life and saved her leg from amputation due to being able to have timely medical care. If it hadn't been for Extended Medicaid, she would have remained in the state's inadequate poverty medical program and never gotten to see the specialists that saved her from severe medical complications.

4. My co-worker signed up for Obamacare in December, found out she qualified for Medicaid on 1/1.

On 1/6 she had a stroke and is now recovering in the best facility of that type in my area.

5. My daughter, age 29, and is

extremely happy that the same doctor (our primary care/family) who cared for her when she was at home and on our insurance will see her again. He said he is not taking new patients, but since she saw him when she was younger and is an immediate family member, he will make an exception.

6. My grandson needed his pacemaker checkup. His parents had to pay out of pocket ($$$$) because the

provider is dragging its feet in getting their insurance cards to them. I'm confident they'll be reimbursed at some point but apparently this practice is fairly common among the insurance companies.

withdrawal to make the monthly payment
