Will the House approve reinstating Unemployment Compensation?
I was very surprised to see my junior senator(master graduate in republicanism) Portman voted to reinstate benefits. One Ohio rep, Jim Jordan (R) OH-4 very gerrymandered district that has several medium sized cities that are not doing well. I just called my rep, Joyce Beatty (D) OH-3, her staff told me in no uncertain terms that she would vote to reinstate. John Boehner OH-8 would not vote to reinstate.
The Dems better win this in the house and in the public arena and keep bringing it up all the way past November 2014. I hope there is spine and grit in them for this.
