Sarah Palin should run, too. And the "I am not a witch" woman whose name escapes me right now. And the "real rape" guy, too. Also Governor Oops and Mr. "Awww, shuckey duckey" Cain. All of them.

The more all the crazy and stupid from the right is brought to the forefront of American political consciousness, the better I like it.

The more that happens, the more sane Indies and sane Republicans flee to the left.

The risk, of course, is that something goes terribly wrong and one of the uber loons gets elected. Then, I would wish I had encouraged moderate, sane, intelligent Republicans to run.

There must still be some moderate, sane, intelligent Republicans somewhere, right? Ones who are not evil incarnate, either?

taken over the whole world, before too long, they will be fighting among themselves. Each
and everyone of them is still greedy and lusts for power, and wants to be Numero Uno.
Sociopaths can't help being this way. It lies in their nature and is a part of their character.

With sociopaths in power there will always be conflicts, and eventually, further wars. It has
always been this way throughout history. The problem today is that science and technology
have advanced to such an extent, that all-out wars could mean the end of the human species.

Sociopaths make up between 2 and 4% of the population. This seems rather small. But these
exactly are the ones greedy for profit and power, and they are extremely ambitious, and they
lack a moral conscience, so they'll go all out to achieve their goal -- regardless of who gets
hurt, or even killed. That's why so many of them succeed in getting to the top positions.
They feel neither shame nor guilt when they use dirty, vicious, and foul methods to get what
they are after.

In daily life, prisons contain large numbers of sociopaths. The brighter ones and those with
powerful connections are almost never seen there, in spite of what they have done. It's mostly
those who have no connections and, as you say, the "stupid" ones who are there in large numbers.

What does that mean?

Sociopaths make up between 2 and 4% of the population.

Well, let's see. I mentioned stupid and/or evil, but you seem to have switched that to "sociopaths." I don't have a degree in any of the behavioral sciences. Maybe you don't either.

Either way, I am not exactly sure why we went from stupid and/or evil rwers to sociopaths making up only about 2% of the population. Let's see, Cal33, if I can suss out exactly what you mean and why you may have moved that particular goal post I had set up.

Sociopaths like those at FOX? Like Rove? Like Cheney? Like Rumsfeld? Like Bybee, Yoo, and Gonzo? Like Ryan? Like most of the Republicans in the House and Senate?

Are those the sociopaths whom you mean, Cal 33?

Like the many racists and xenophobes who vote Republican and/or Libertarian and/or Constitution Party?

Are those the sociopaths whom you mean, Cal33?

Sociopaths like the Koch Brothers and Adelson and other big Republican donors who are running breathable air and potable water off the planet?

Are those the sociopaths whom you mean, Cal33?

Seems to me that evil and/or stupid right wingers like all of the above make up a lot more than 2% of the rw population.

Wouldn't you agree, Cal33?

21. Sorry for not having made things clearer. So, here are the answers to your questions:
Fri Aug 1, 2014, 11:24 AM
Aug 2014

M: What does that mean? Sociopaths make up between 2 and 4% of the population.

C: Sociopathy is one of the dozen or so personality disorders listed in "DSM-4" used by mental health people.
There is no official designation of "criminal personality," but "sociopathy" comes pretty close. Some people
use the words "anti-social personality" or "psychopathy" interchangeably with sociopathy.

M: Well, let's see.

C: Yes, yes, and yes, Merrily. A high percentage of corporate execs. and top political leaders show sociopathic
behavior -- among Democrats, too. But my guess is that there are more of them among the Republican
leadership, and they have this disorder to a more severe degree.

M: Seems to me that evil and/or stupid right wingers like all of the above make up a lot more than 2% of the rw population.

Wouldn't you agree, Cal33?

C: 2% to 4% refers to the general population. You are right, there is a much higher concentration of them among the top
political leaders and corporate executives. That's where the money and power lies, and these places are what corporate
execs. and politicians are attracted to. This doesn't mean that all of them are sociopaths. And the vast majority of the
Republican masses who follow their leaders certainly are not.

Here's an old 2009 post of mine written in this forum that explains more about sociopaths:

Just type in the space at the top of the page: National Disease: Sociopaths In High Places.

Your including Democrats is a false equivalency of the kind Scarborough and others attempt to sell us daily.

No Democratic politicians I know of was caught sending racist emails or yapping about how women don't get pregnant if it's a real rape. No Democratic VP candidate I know of is on Palin's low level, either.

And I still don't know why you felt compelled to move the goal post from stupid and/or evil to sociopath.

BTW, you did not provide a link to your 2009 post.

But, no reply is necessary.

go through. You probably didn't read my last attempt. Simply type:

"National Disease: Sociopaths in High Places" into the space at the top of the page, or into
the space provided by Google. The article will show up.

The connection in my mind was: Sociopaths do many things that are considered by people to be evil. But sociopaths
don't think of them as evil at all.

I think this old post explains enough about sociopathy to give a general idea.

If you are more interested, just google: "Bush and Sociopathy." There are literally millions of articles,
and many have been written by professionals.

Indeed, I never mentioned sociopaths. Nor did I say anything about afflictions of people in high places.

I said Republicans, including the rank and file, were stupid and/or evil.

However, after reading your posts about sociopaths, no matter what I actually say, I get that you don't want to address what I actually said and would prefer to pretend I said something else entirely.

BTW. if you are not the same cal33 who posts against Democrats at FDL, please pardon my wary attitude.

Again, my apologies for my wariness if that was not you.

FDL stands for firedoglake.com. That should suffice to get you there. You may not find ca33 there easily, though. There, as here, searching for a poster's name does not get you far, unless the poster's name is mentioned within a post, the way that I mentioned your screen name several times within my first reply to you. I googled at fdl this morning and did not turn him up. He is not a very frequent poster there, just as you are not a very frequent poster here; and that, too, may make cal33 harder to find there.

Have a good weekend.

I've had two posts hidden here. The second one, I knew from the jump would be hidden, but the hide was worth it to me.

The first one, though, paraphased Rahm using that word about liberals. I relied on my memory because I did not feel like googling at that moment.. And because I knew I was relying on my memory and might not be recalling his exact words perfectly, I did not use a direct quote format.

The post got hidden. Supposedly, it I had used his exact words and quotation marks, the post would have survived. I still think it was a bad hide because it was obvious that I was not calling anyone that name or any name, only saying Rahm had called liberals that word. But, no jury is perfect, either.

Anyway, that was my only unintentional hide.

So far.

FYI, I try to use words that somehow imply to me that the person was born capable of doing better, if he or she so chooses.
