President Obama really HAS brought out the worst in some people

but then, these 'some people' are all racial bigots. He has brought out the best in many people in this country, and I hope this is what he will be remembered for along with the raising economy, etc.

but he's surrounded by people, both at home and abroad, who do not always have our best interests at heart.

I'm sure he's doing the best he can with the hand he was dealt.

voted for Obama, but I thought he did choose too many left-overs from the GWB
Administration to serve in his own. Later on I thought that Bipartisanship was
uppermost in his mind. Still later I thought that Bipartisanship could be an
obsession with him. He did not see or did not choose to see that bipartisanship
requires two to tango.

For bipartisanship to work, the other side also has to play its part. But in
Obama's case, the GOP not only absolutely refused to play that part, they also
did everything to bring his government down, and even did things to humiliate
him personally, and they did this over and over again.

Now I see Obama as a middle-of-the-roader who has done some good things, but
his weakness was to give in to the Right-Wingers too much and too often. And,
in return, the GOP was giving Obama the shaft practically all the time.

I know we often speak of people bringing out the best/worst in each other, but the longer I live, the more I believe the maxim that what people say/do is most often about them and not attributable to anyone else.
