(33,497 posts)if we do lose majority, hopefully we can get it back in 2016.
2016 will be the class of 2010 running for reelection. That's Republicans in places like Illinois.
The bad map this year is reversed in 2016.

The family of Republican U.S. Senate candidate Dan Sullivan has given another $300,000 to an independent group supporting Sullivans campaign, after donating more than $350,000 in advance of the Aug. 19 Republican Party primary.
Sullivans parents, Sandra and Thomas Sullivan, each gave $150,000 on Aug. 29 to American Crossroads, a super PAC that supports Republicans and that has reserved $5.5 million in television commercials in Alaskas U.S. Senate race.
Members of the Sullivan family had previously given $375,000 to Alaskas Energy/Americas Values, another super PAC backing Sullivan thats run by Anchorage political consultant Art Hackney.
<snip>
American Crossroads filing has since been corrected; it shows the Sullivans as the groups second- and third-largest donors for August. A spokesman for the group said it had mistakenly listed the source of the money as the financial institution that issued the Sullivan familys checks.
In an emailed news release, the Alaska Democratic Party said that Dan Sullivans parents have gotten caught trying to make a secret donation of $300,000 to American Crossroads, which was co-founded by Republican strategist Karl Rove.

It's interesting to note that Dan Sullivan has made very few visits to rural Alaska, while Mark has been traveling all over. I doubt that the pollsters are reaching the villages. (Or me, for that matter, since I don't answer the phone during election season.)
We should have good Dem turnout this year because of the marijuana initiative, a minimum wage initiative, and a referendum to overturn an unpopular anti union ordinance here in Anchorage (separate ballot, but this is where most of the voters are). Also ballot measure 4 which prohibits mining in sensitive salmon habitats.

(13,190 posts)What is Pryor's ground game to get out the vote VS. Cotton.And I noticed in that polling there really wasn't any break down on the African American polling.Pryor is leading among woman but only by like 5 points(Not good) but he's getting killed on the independents which most of them are probably undercover republicans.
