Ted Cruz definitely. He has already stated that he's "taking Obama on"!! Liberal_Stalwart71 Nov 2014 #5
He already controls the House Beaverhausen Nov 2014 #9

Yeah he may lose tonite ,I just read in twitter that the urban areas in KY are already at 40 percent turnout and we still have the rsst of the day to go , how ever if he loses I don't think they take the senate , if that somehow happens. Maybe john Cronyn ?

They want someone who hates Obama but is shielded from political liability. That person is clearly Ted Cruz, who again, has stated that he plans to "take Obama on". Whatever that means, he is serious.

My bet is on Cruz.

Republicans are drunk on power. All they care about is how much they hate this president. Sadly too many Americans are too blind to see that.

But there'd undoubtedly be a far right insurgency (undoubtedly led by Cruz) attempting to give it to someone more extreme.

Not even that brief moment of hilarity could compensate for the epic disaster that will be the next two years.

If Yertle loses but the Senate goes red, that place will be so teabagger infested Cruz will be a shoo-in.

Problem with this theory: to take the Senate they have to hold every seat they have...and voter disgust is high enough they could lose a couple of seats.

They never elect far-right wingers to top posts. At best he could be the number 4 man or so in the Senate. Same thing for us, we never put left-wingers at the top of the Senate. Harry Reid is way too conservative for my taste.

why not the Senate as well?

He might even try to get the post if McChinless wins.
