2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI was turned away when I tried to vote today!
Reason: I didn't have a photo ID.
Reason: I didn't have it in my billfold.
Reason: I put it on my scanner a month ago and forgot to put it back in my billfold. I'VE BEEN DRIVING AROUND FOR A FREAKIN' MONTH WITHOUT MY LICENSE!!!
.
Consider this a PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT . Please check your billfold or your purse to make sure your ID is in there. It may save you the embarrassment I suffered.

I've done that before. Now I'm sort of neurotic about checking to make sure I have it with me. n/t

Me, too. I drove around for several months without my license. It was in my printer.

So easy to do, but it was a good wake-up call to always remove whatever I'm copying.
Glad you got back to vote.

(2,375 posts)8. Where I live, (southern CA) we're not even asked for photo ID initially.
I'm always asked my name and street address, and if it's on file they don't bother to double-check.
