GOP has been winning a lot of state legislatures, which do redistricting at their pleasure (limited only modestly by threat of court action).

Democrats do it too, where we can, but the GOP has control of many more states.

You can take a 50/50 state, and carve it up so that one party has a single 95% district and is 45% in all the rest of the districts, making every seat but one in the whole state an uphill climb.

Fortunately, the kids seem to take after their Dad and are OK with moderation. That's one bullet we seem to have ducked.

We need to undo the gerrymandering after next census - 2020. Then the house will be in play again.
