They are paying lip service to the Hispanic voters. Are people this gullible?

I agree with you, though. I certainly believe that Obama's reversal on immigration may have cost him in GA and AZ, too, where the Hispanic population is growing. It may have helped Wendy Davis in Texas.

The president needs to stop being so timid with these Republicans. For me, his obsession with bipartisanship has been his biggest crutch and failure. It has done him no good--all his efforts to reach out and he still loses. I'm wondering will be finally wake up after tonight?

To curry favor with Latino voters, he ran ads accusing Udall of failing to get immigration reform through, even though Udall voted for the bipartisan bill that passed the Senate, while Gardner had been on record as saying he would not support the bill if it came to an up or down vote in the House. Which it never did thanks to Boehner's "leadership".
