Barack is suddenly pro-Keystone now. How long before he abandons the LGBT community?

Just today he said: "Keystone, I just consider as one small aspect of a broader trend that’s really positive for the American people." WTF?? As a anti-Keystone donor and volunteer, I feel betrayed.

Back in 2008, Barack said "I believe marriage is between a man and a woman. I am not in favor of gay marriage." The he "evolved" in early 2012 when Joe forced him to.

It's about TRUST. And right now, I don't trust Barack.

But I won't argue with you about it. Once I determine that somebody is not acting in good faith, as your OP makes clear to me, I am done with them. But I will provide the full quotation (and I'm glad somebody else did as well) in order to let others judge for themselves. It's more honesty than you gave Obama.

"He could have just said NO," they moan. Why should he? He has a clear and nuanced position on a comprehensive plan for greater energy independence. Here's what these haters don't want to admit: greater energy independence along the lines of Obama's vision is a POSITIVE thing, and they can't deny that. Communicating that larger vision (which includes environmental criteria) and situating Keystone relative to it is his fucking job, especially since the Keystone promoters keep trying to say it is part of such a strategy. Of course, dishonest arguments can always be crafted by pulling this or that out of a larger context, but people who do such things are not operating in good faith, and should be called out on their dishonesty, as this OP (and the one it fan clubbed from in GD) was.

What he REALLY said was:

So, let me just pick up on Keystone. There’s an independent process. It’s moving forward. And the -- I’m going to let that process play out. I’ve given some parameters in terms of how I think about it. Ultimately, is this going to be good for the American people? Is it going to be good for their pocketbook? Is it going to actually create jobs? Is it actually going to reduce gas prices that have been coming down?

And is it going to be, on net, something that doesn’t increase climate change that we’re going to have to grapple with? There’s a pending case before a Nebraska judge about some of the sighting. The process is moving forward. And I’m just going to gather up the facts.

I will note while this debate about Canadian oil has been raging, keeping in mind this is Canadian oil, this isn’t U.S. oil. While that debate has been raging, we’ve seen the -- some of the biggest increases in American oil production and American natural gas production in our history.

We are closer to energy independence than we’ve ever been before, or at least as we’ve been in decades. We are importing less foreign oil than we produce for the first time in a very long time. We’ve got a 100 year supply of natural gas that if we responsibly tap, puts us in the strongest position when it comes to energy of any industrialized country around the world.

When I travel to Asia or I travel to Europe, their biggest envy is the incredible, homegrown, U.S. energy production that is producing jobs and attracting manufacturing, because locating here means you’ve got lower energy costs.

OBAMA: So, our energy sector is booming. And I’m happy to engage Republicans with additional ideas for how we can enhance that.

I should note that our clean energy production is booming as well. And so Keystone, I just consider as one small aspect of a broader trend that’s really positive for the American people.

Now how is that different from what you are representing? Here's a hint:

I’ve given some parameters in terms of how I think about it. Ultimately, is this going to be good for the American people? Is it going to be good for their pocketbook? Is it going to actually create jobs? Is it actually going to reduce gas prices that have been coming down?

And is it going to be, on net, something that doesn’t increase climate change that we’re going to have to grapple with?

And, then he indicates that Keystone can't meet the parameters:

When I travel to Asia or I travel to Europe, their biggest envy is the incredible, homegrown, U.S. energy production that is producing jobs and attracting manufacturing, because locating here means you’ve got lower energy costs.

So, our energy sector is booming ...

Many of the Judges overturning Marriage bans were appointed by Bush

The GOP has never voted to eliminate the EPA or DOE, despite being in control from 1994-206 and 2010 to today. It's an applause line, but there's no desire to carry it through.

The GOP has campaigned that Obama wanted to cut Social Security. After Bush got burned, only a handful of fringe House members continue to advocate privatization. They may try to "reform" entitlements, but that's as far as it will go.

refining Canadas shale oil into kerosene for export to china.

It was in 2009, when this President took office all the following changes took place & evolve through 2015- a huge upgrade to Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program

It is the States, most are totally republican(corporation) controlled who allow the sludge to be transported through them. Those states ignore 'internet protesters' , as they always have.

Let's let it play out.
