Did you hear Andrea Mitchell say she interviewed a red state Democratic congressman, who said it's going to be so hard to get the Republican votes needed now to pass legislation because of what he said? This is a Democrat? did I hear that right? Rachel did kind of shoot that meme down, but...!

To work with Democrats on meaningful legislation to improve the lives of Americans...

What a bunch of shit. The House had over 500 days to do something - anything - on emmigration and they shoved their thumbs up their asses and sat on their hands.

but I guess the GOP wants to wait and welcome the new batch of crazies first before it gets down to "business."

The best way to stop a bully is to stand up, even if you get your butt kicked.

The Republicans have portrayed Obama as weak and feckless, someone who can be coerced and rolled. And indeed, Obama's reasonable approach and willingness to compromise (which is laudable) makes it seem as though the bullies are eating his lunch on a daily basis.

They are threatening, in classic bully fashion, lawsuits, spending cuts, government shutdown, blocking legislation, and even impeachment.

But when Obama stands up to them with bold action, the bullies are exposed as the insecure, whining children they truly are.

But this worries me. I'm all for immigration reform but not the way Preident Obama did I it. I know many will say the Republicans blocked him so he had to do it this way but that is not the way things work. Separation of powers Is a good thing and if a republican wins the Presidency in 2016 I hope this style of government does not come back to haunt us.

However if we lose the presidency in 2016 and they control the house and Senat than a blocking Senate is our last line of defense. If the 2016 president goes beyond their typical power and I believe President Obama is pushing this line, that there is nothing we can do to stop a pure republican rule.
