House chaos leaves GOP senators fuming
By Alexander Bolton
Senate Republicans are fuming over the House GOPs decision to extend the standoff over the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), a move that they say uses up political oxygen and burns precious time on the legislative calendar.

(61,945 posts)The Republicans don't know how to govern. That should have been obvious since the 1990's.
It isn't any mystery.
It really isn't even debatable.
Just mean spirited, juvenile half wits with absolutely no regard for the institution they serve and draw paychecks from.
But, in our infinite wisdom, we have seen fit to give them more power in government today than they had in the 90s, when they at least provided some pseudo intellectual bullshit for their nonsense.

(53,661 posts)To be replaced by church and corporations. The GOP TeaParty Libertarians are only in government to turn anything they can make a profit from to their friends. Weapons, timber, minerals, water, land, cheap labor.
Anything that doesn't is supposed to go away even if it costs the lives of millions: regulation for clean air and water, choice in how to live, aid or programs to assist the poor, children and elderly, healthcare, education, access travel, free association or living space, rights protecting teh weak from the powerful, are all on the chopping block.
They were not elected to govern. The party of good governance remains the Democratic Party. Expect the GOP to do what they are there to do, not what Democrats are working on.
