We didn't vote until around noon (doctor's appointment delayed the usual morning vote). No line, and nobody else there, and we were only 68th and 69th to have voted. But a couple of provisos: apparently, due to late opening (probably election judges didn't show up on time), this voting place, as well as 5 or 6 others, will be open until 8 pm. This according to Tribune live blog, which also reports "low turnout" altogether, apparently. Other factors: The weather sucks: 46, windy and raining. Also, this is a relatively new polling place. We used to vote about 6 blocks away at the IBEW union hall, with two other precincts. They finally opened a new polling place about a block and a half from our house, in an apartment building lobby. This is only the 3rd time we've voted there. Some people might not be used to it. Also, it is spring break for the schools here.

That said, I think there was higher than normal early voting, and this was the first time you could vote by mail (absentee) without an excuse.
