Hell Hath No Fury

I have long thought the Jeb was going to be the GOP nominee --

but I have been watching his appearances lately and am now thinking he may not. He does NOT look like he has a fire in the belly about his run AT ALL and, in fact, he appears as if he really doesn't want to be running. Will this give an opening to a candidate like a Rubio who DOES show a passion for his run? Who else do you think could benefit the most from Jeb's lackluster efforts so far? I still don't see the vast majority of the GOP candidates being able to gain much traction and am now thinking it will come down to Bush, Rubio, & Walker.

He's the GOP establishment candidate, with Poppy's Rolodex and Wall St money. Given the huge GOP field, there won't be a clear winner until the very end, and the winner will likely be the best funded candidate who can afford to stay in. After all, that's how RMoney did it last time. He was no popular favorite, he was just the survivor.

he was dumb as a box of rocks but they shoved him in anyway. The Big Boys aren't going to let one of the batshit loonies get the nomination and both Rubio & Walker have a whole lot of baggage. Not that Bush doesn't but that's never stopped them before. The Bushes are a political dynasty with far-reaching influence including but not limited to Texas, and Big Oil including ME oil.

Once he went to the sidelines, you knew it was John Ellis Bush, all these others are just window dressing to attack Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders. The RNC does not want a head to head debate with either of the Dem's Candidate. Bernie has eaten every Pundit and their Steno's for lunch, and that has caused Hillary to grow a slight Populace back bone.

...to see Trump or frothy Santorum nominated. Most of the GOP field is for entertainment value only, no matter how seriously they try to take themselves. I mean, if you were a big money GOP donor, would you drop millions into Trump's campaign? Or Huckabee's? Why not save yourself the paperwork and just flush the money down the toilet?

He's the closest thing they have to a reasonable moderate. He hedges his bets on most issues, the rebel flag controversy being the latest example. Remember how he said he would have invaded Iraq, then "clarified" to say he really meant he would NOT have invaded? That's his big problem. He needs to figure out a way to support his brother on the Iraq invasion and the Wall Street bailouts, but distance himself at the same time. Lucky for him Obama stepped in and mitigated both situations, so most voters will not remember what big clusterfooks they were.

Teddy Kennedy ran. He did not really want to be the nominee.

I think it will be Jebbie anyway. He is the only one who appears to be halfway sane.

The long tentacles of the bush crime family reach places we've never even heard or dreamed of. A couple of phone calls (already made) and it's a done deal.

Assuring the presidency will be a tad more difficult... but not much.

Cynical, table for one. 👆

Sorry, that's me when it comes to the bushes. Can't be helped.
