Obama up by 13 in new New Mexico Poll
Never heard of the Pollster, but the result is good:
ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO President Obama has a significant lead over Mitt Romney among New Mexico voters, according to a new poll conducted for Patriot Majority USA (www.PatriotMajority.org) in conjunction with Project New America (www.ProjectNewAmerica.com). Interestingly, former New Mexico Governor and Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson receives 21% of New Mexicos Independent vote, only slightly less than Romneys 28%.
According to the Patriot Majority poll of 502 voters conducted May 16-21, 2012 by Fairbank, Maslin, Maullin, Metz & Associates (FM3), the President leads Romney by 48% to 35%. Twelve percent of New Mexico voters support the candidacy of Libertarian Gary Johnson, the states former governor. Five percent are undecided. The polls margin of error is 4.4.%.
Obama 48%
Romney 35%
Johnson 12%
Und./Other 5%
The poll's findings offer insight into the hotly contested Hispanic vote -- critical to success in such states as NM, NV, CO and AZ. President Obama currently leads with 62% support among Hispanic voters, contrasted with only 24% for Romney and 9% for Johnson. These numbers indicate a major structural difficulty for Romney in competing for votes in this critical and emerging bloc of American voters."
