What I admire most about Bernie Sanders...

Last edited Sat Jul 4, 2015, 10:36 AM - Edit history (1)

You know exactly where he stands.

Well, one might think he would moderate his socialist positions just a little, since he is running for President? But Bernie keeps saying sh*t that The Powers That Be do not like. Free College at public universities. Raising taxes on the wealthy. Putting people to work by creating infrastructure jobs, bridges and highways. Healthcare to every American citizen. Break up those big-a$$ banks, etc. He doesn't back down and a lot of people are showing up to hear him explain where he stands.

I admire him for standing up for what he believes in. It is probably just pure coincidence that so many people agree with him?

I don't agree 100% with Bernie on every single issue (far and away, most tho), but I KNOW where he stands on almost all issues, and that he never uses weasel words.

When you vote for candidates that use weasel words, you end up having Candidate Comfortable Shoes become President TPP.

is his courage to tell it like it is, regardless of the consequences. You can count on Bernie. He`s real, and he doesn`t need to hire a gazillion image-makers to help him decide what position to take on an issue.

One of the things people will come to learn about Bernie is that he has a very wide appeal. His supporters here in Vermont are quite diverse. I`ve written this before, but people leave their Bernie yard signs up year after year. Same goes for bumper stickers. It`s normal here in Vermont to see Bernie stickers displayed beside NRA stickers or maybe Boston Red Sox stickers on pickup trucks or combined with COEXIST stickers on Subaru and Volvo wagons.

People in Vermont trust Bernie. Why? He earned it.

and does not change his tune to appease,
and that creates trust, which the voters
want the most.

Bernie reminds me of socialist Sen. Huey Long who was assasinated in 1935 soon after he announced his pres. ambitions.

To hire specialist in focus groups to tailor what he says...he just says what he believes and addresses the issues head on.

There are advantages to not surround yourself with big money.

And the list goes on and on.

A good, new example about college costs...there was just a report that the University of California system, will admit more out of state and foreign students, than California residents because...

They can charge the out of state and foreign students a premium of about $28,000 per year!

And they had the nerve to flat out say...Well, we can get more money!

We need you Bernie.

In a political system designed to shred candidates over who's pulling their strings, this makes him extra formidable.
