Why does Newt always talk about beating Obama in the debates?

This is like the 5th time I've heard him say that.

He's not running for president of the debate club, he's running for president of the US.

Why does it seem like beating Obama in the debates is his eventual goal?

1. Cause he is a damn bully who knows that is why he is winning the crazy vote. They aren't interested

with is best for the country. They are only interested in having a brawl. However, if Newt goes to far Obama will win because people don't like that kind of behavior. They will say who wants a crazy man like Newt who will act first without thinking. Americans will come to their senses. Just like they did when Palin was on the ticket.

someone put that uppity…uh…President in his place. They mistake vitriol for debate, and figure Newt can pour out more hatred per minute than just about anybody.

He looks presidential by planning ahead.

But either way, as long as the media is not all "look at those audible sighs" the debates will be fun to watch no matter who decides to get spanked. Both Newt and Mittens have pretty fragile egos that will not stand up well.

I can't remember which one it was - maybe Cain.
It was VERY boring.
Basically they both sat at a table and chatted - and they agreed with each other on a bunch of things.
If that is Newts idea of a good debate then he is wrong - it sucked!
