(37,326 posts)He works for CNN and is a Romney supporter/surrogate. He's the guy who wouldn't let Rachel Maddow speak on MTP a few weeks ago and he kept flat-out lying.

(16,230 posts)"Purple" (red and blue combined) sounds like they're trying to give the impression that they're bipartisan. The conscious attempt to give that impression raises a red flag for me.
Also, they used an anonymity service, Domains By Proxy, LLC, to register their domain, purplestrategies.com.

Why would a legitimate respectable polling company hide their domain registration information? Sure, they may have good reasons, but I can't think of any. It just strikes me as strange.
They're have an office at 815 Slaters Lane, Alexandria VA, 22314, in a building labeled "National Media Center". Here's a pic:

They have a second address at 2028 Buffalo Terrace, Houston TX, 77019, in what appears to be a law office.

A William Burge at the Houston address has donated thousands of dollars to Republican candidates (including McCain in 2008) and the RNC.

I think we've cracked this nut.

(398 posts)Quinnipiac has Romney up by 6%. Does the fact that we have heard a lot about Quinnipiac convince you that Romney is up by 6%?
PPP sampled Registered Voters. Since Likely Voter samples (used by Purple Strategies) are typically 3%-5% more pro-Republican than RV samples, then PPP would have Romney and Obama essentially tied, if we are to compare apples vs. apples.
There is a difference between PPP and PurpleStrategies, just not as big as you made it seem.
