Portland OR organizing rally for BERNIE tonight --- overflows expectations!!

So a facebook page for Bernie has formed in Portland, KGW-TV reports, and they planned a rally tonight to encourage volunteers. They booked a venue, a non-profit brewery, for 200 people. By 6 p.m. more than 700 had signed up to attend the rally to sign up to work for Bernie and to generate enthusiasm.

This surge is just beginning.

And Cascadia (WA and OR and BC--but they can't) will bring it for Bernie. Shoot, 6 months ago I had "I'm with Hillary" in my feed right and left. Now it is all Bernie quotes.

I haven't seen a Hillary post AT ALL.

Info on Cascadia, in case you don't watch Portlandia

I have a son who lives in Portland, and I just left him a voice mail asking if he'd heard about this or perhaps attended.

and it's in a part of Portland I haven't really gotten to so far.

I do love all the wonderful brew pubs in that city. I've made two trips so far to visit said son, and he's taken me to one amazing brew pub after another. I'll make sure we go there next visit.

and I've made a few pub-discovering trips with my oldest son. I'll have to add this to the list for next time.

Meanwhile, I'll be tracking the rally!

Someone post in Oregon group the synopsis...

We need to plan to get the same ratio that Portland, Maine got for its population, and get the waterfront on the Williamette to be used the way Obama did to also get 75k of supporters there (Providence Park I don't think will do it with only a 22k capacity). Have Bernie ride down "Sandy Boulevard" from the airport that day to downtown too for the scenic route that the shoot a lot of scenes for Portlandia from...
