An important moment on Bill Maher Friday

Michael Brendan Dougherty, a conservative and one of the guests, said he had talked with a Republican senator who told him that McConnell has pointedly told his caucus to NOT PASS ANYTHING until the election. We all know they are purposefully crashing the economy for political gain, but this was proof, from a conservative, on the air, that it is so. I would love to see a video of this go viral. Does anyone have the clip of this?

John Waters hitchhiking journey ends -- book chronicling it to be called 'Carsick'

May 25, 2012

After eight days, 15 rides and who knows how much peculiarity, John Waters has wrapped his cross-country, "Zen-like," hitchhiking journey and plans to recount his adventures in a book he'd like to call "Carsick."

The New York Times just spoke to Waters, who's coming down from his adventure in San Francisco, where he has an apartment. We learned yesterday that Waters reached his destination in no small part thanks to a 20-year-old Maryland councilman, who drove the filmmaker through several legs of the trip and for his troubles, earned a key to Waters' San Francisco pad and a personal tour of the city.

Many of us knew it was true but to have them actually admit it, to me, seems like a big deal. There are many who think it might be true but cannot quite believe it. After all, it seems pretty treasonous if true. E..J Dionne in the video describes the confusion well: do they really want to crash the economy for political gain, or do they actually believe lower taxes and spending cuts will help. Many are stuck with this question and don't go the extra step. This clip makes it clear.

16. Or Richard Nixon's treasonous October surprise
Sun Jun 10, 2012, 03:10 PM
Jun 2012

Much worse than Watergate, Nixon contacted the South Vietnamese government to get them to delay their participation in the Paris peace talks to prolong the war and the killing so he could win the 1968 election. LBJ didn't go public with Nixon's crime fearing that it would forever taint the Presidency.

http://consortiumnews.com/2012/03/03/lbjs-x-file-on-nixons-treason/

"...On May 14, 1973, Walt W. Rostow, who had been national security adviser during some of the darkest days of the Vietnam War, typed a three-page “memorandum for the record” summarizing a secret file that his former boss, President Lyndon Johnson, had amassed on what may have been Richard Nixon’s dirtiest trick, the sabotaging of Vietnam peace talks to win the 1968 election. ..."

Republicans are the most treasonous, corrupt, and immoral crime syndicate in the history of the country and I would not put anything past them including yet another October surprise.

Because that 'breaking' news is about 3 years old. I mean, are you JUST finding this out? It's been common knowledge almost from day one of Obama's presidency. And this is why the question still remains - why did he even try to compromise and cozy up to those right wing fanatics in the first place?

Nothing has been accomplished regarding this economic depression we're in. Yes, it's a depression as I've been saying for years and what Paul Krugman (NYT Times Economist) has now also termed it.
