I never *get* polling.

It's a sort of 'before the fact' determining an 'after the fact' sort of thing.

And I went to the twitter page and it doesn't say. Can you tell who she's ahead of by 50 points?

Sanders? All other Democrats singly or combined? All GOP singly or combined?

TIA.

Remember, Nader packed stadiums and only got 2 percent.

Huckabee swore the size of the Chik-Fil-A crowds was going to guarantee a GOP landslide in 2012.

The vast majority of voters don't attend rallies. All the crowds indicate is how fired up a candidate's die-hard supporters are, but is not indicative of overall trends.

I keep hearing people proclaiming Bernie (who I support) filled this stadium or that. It makes a nice photo, but it won't mean anything electorally if he doesn't move up in the polls as well.

Anyone who thinks the polls are wrong due to crowd size should head over to unskewedpolls.com and see how that worked out.

For the first one I stood in line for two hours to get in - the place was packed. Oh, Bill Clinton was the guest speaker!

For the second one I drove an hour to line up for three hours for a ticket - the event was four days later. It was postponed, so I went through the same thing a second time. There was an overflow crowd. The guest speaker was Barack Obama.

So much for a candidate drawing a big crowd!!!!

Time after time I've see these huge crowds, and the candidate ends up losing.

Only 50 points? It means the Sander's folks will have to work harder. I doubt that the Sanders' campaign is ready give up the ghost because of this poll.

I don't know if it is surmountable. I think the question is what states can Bernie either make it close enough to keep it interesting or actually win.

A marker would be Bernie leading in a state poll. But, I wouldn't look to VA for that.
