O'Malley also said at the Netroots forum that he'd be releasing a detailed plan very soon to accomplish that justice agenda.

he should address the broken-window issue he's got from Baltimore mayor days.

People here on DU do bring it up and it seems a valid point.

He's hustling. He's hitting every checkbox in the list of things to do to run for president. (Media, policy positions, appearances, commenting, etc.).

Having said that, Sanders came in knowing he was not going to be blindsided. O'Malley was blindsided.

Look at Sanders expression compared to O'Malley's when these people started chanting *Say My Name*

O'Malley sat back, listened and tried to respond. Sanders came across as annoyed that his message was being interuppted by protesters. He was ready to walk of the stage.

One listened, one was annoyed.

Martin O'MAlley is willing to listen to people who have deep concerns about their lives, he is willing to listen and reach out to them and say that he will work to make things better.

He's not going to walk away when people protest. I like that. He is there when things get really uncomfortable and he won'd tell people to be quiet and listen to him.

his response today. He didn't tuck tail and run. Sanders cancelled some interviews post-townhall and Sanders got visibly angry at the commotion. O'Malley listened and tried to address their questions.

This is the same kind of response O'Malley had to Baltimore riots. He went down there and talked to people and prayed. Even the ones who booed him, he took in stride. Good for him.

One thing that O'Malley has a lot of is courage.

He does not run away from a challenge.

He listens to people who disagree with him.

He tries to dialogue even with those who dislike him.

He takes criticism well, and he stands firm and calm.

He has principles and heart.

...I won't criticize Bernie Sanders in comparison because of the unfairness I think he was exposed to at the event. I certainly think he'll have an opportunity to account for his response and actions and I expect we'll be able to judge those on their own merits, rather than on this orchestrated denial of that ability.

I thought he behaved very professionally. I didn't watch the Sanders video yet but I'm going to. I see posts saying "O'Malley handled it badly" and I'm thinking, WTF did they not watch the video? So I gotta watch the Sanders video although I'm not looking forward to it.

I've seen the complete video of his time at NRN, but the one of Bernie seems to be held back. I wish a supporter would post it. I'd like to judge for myself. I felt O'Malley really got the point of the protest. Regular channels have not worked for BLM, anymore than those who waited in line to talk to their town council in Ferguson did. The city officials acted as they were not even there, even when they followed all the rules. I recall one was more interested in texting to someone than citizens who wanted promises of change.

Both he and O'Malley did well above the shouting.

Bernie didn't leave for home, he prepared for his rally.

Still no denying the deep level of grassroots, one-on-one O'Malley is engaging in; perhaps by necessity, but definitely inspiring.
