I hate to use this pollster but (R)asmussen Has Obama up by 8 in Michigan

(but at least it's better than the last two polls out of Michigan):

President Obama draws 50% support against Mitt Romney in Rasmussen Reports’ first look at the presidential race in Michigan.

A new statewide telephone survey shows that 42% of Likely Voters support Romney. Four percent (4%) prefer some other candidate, and four percent (4%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

The survey of 500 Likely Voters in Michigan was conducted on June 14, 2012 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 4.5 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by

Rasmussen, as documented by Nate Silver, had a Republican bias of about 4% in 2010.

This is consistent with most polls of Michigan by more reputable national pollsters like PPP, Mason-Dixon and the like.

It's only when he has Obama behind that he's a biased, unscientific, lying right-wing hack.

He's still a biased right-wing hack. It's just that when he has Obama ahead, he's more than likely farther ahead than Rasmussen's polls indicate. We just love knowing that the President's lead is bigger than what this guy says it is.

than most other polls. I wonder if it's their way of trying to frighten more right-wingers
