(19,069 posts)They'll make a brief stand on the payroll tax cuts, but then they'll realize they have no hope of ousting Obama so they'll start looking out for themselves. It will be every man for themselves as they desperately try to hold onto the House and gain even 1 seat in the Senate.
Furthermore, Gingrich or Romney can expect very little support from their fellow GOP as they will be busy trying to save their own skin.

(24,689 posts)or that the recovery would have been better if Obama followed their "recommendations" (which were to do nothing). Neither of those arguments will go over very well if the recovery steadily continues.
