Poll: Will Scalia's political hackery crack the Court's authority with the American people?

Any suggestions for other choices that such a poll might include will be more than welcome.

Yes. He looks the bully in a movie where you know he's set himself (or his gang) up for a fall.

No. I can't even get my spouse interested in this.

Yes. Through my seething and ranting, my outrage will permeate my spouse in a subliminal way, and the ripple will be sent through society.

No. SCOTUS is untouchable. Scalia has no fucking interest in your opinion of him.

Yes. It seemed like today a bunch of people looked around and said that with this blatant partisanship, almost laughing in your face, he made the SCOTUS's authority into a topic.

Yes. I mean, I would hope so, but after Bush v. Gore, I decided that all hope was lost. But now I hope it will keep building til there's a structural change demanded by the electorate.

No. It doesn't matter whether the people have faith in the Supreme Court's authority. It never has. That's the whole point, stupid. And that's why the GOP has the court.

It would take congress to impeach a judge on the SCOTUS, we have nothing to say in the matter. Like wise we have no say in who is placed on the court.
They serve for life and frankly don't care how we feel.
We elect a president who nominates, and a senate who confirms, that is our only part of the process.

They either already know Scalia's a hack, or they don't understand his actions enough to know how badly they will be harmed by them.

6. I suppose another choice could be, "The Court has already lost the public's confidence".

It's just really hard to see how this gets any better unless the right wingers lose their majority on the court.
