OBAMA: "I will be the first president in modern history to be outspent...."

I will be the first president in modern history to be outspent in his re-election campaign, if things continue as they have so far.

I'm not just talking about the super PACs and anonymous outside groups -- I'm talking about the Romney campaign itself. Those outside groups just add even more to the underlying problem.

The Romney campaign raises more than we do, and the math isn't hard to understand: Through the primaries, we raised almost three-quarters of our money from donors giving less than $1,000, while Mitt Romney's campaign raised more than three-quarters of its money from individuals giving $1,000 or more.

And, again, that's not including the massive outside spending by super PACs and front groups funneling up to an additional billion dollars into ads trashing me, you, and everything we believe in.

We can be outspent and still win -- but we can't be outspent 10 to 1 and still win.

Money can't vote and Romney isn't a sitting POTUS. President Obama is in the media virtually 24-7-365 and people have gotten to know him for 4 years now. The question is will all the money and all the ads change people's minds about President Obama and/or get people to like Romney more? I think that the conventions and especially the debates will give enough people what they need to decide whether to vote for President Obama or Mitt Romney in November. Making sure that we get our people to turn out and, more importantly, be able to cast a ballot for President Obama will be the deciding factor in November IMHO.

After years of thinking about it, you decided it's time for gay marriage to be legal. Announced it. And got the media attention for free and left Mittens fumbling around trying not to piss off the radical right or everyone left who's sane. And you nailed down the gay block at the same time.

Since the GOP sabotaged your dream act, you decided to beat Mario to the punch, and used the idea he was floating but not moving on the centerpiece of a temporary immigration policy. And announced it. Got the media attention for free, left Mittens fumbling around looking for a policy that wouldn't piss off the radical right or everybody else who's sane. And you nailed down the Hispanic block at the same time.

KEEP IT UP.

Use executive orders and "what have you" authority to ram through everything that the GOP has obstructed, at least on an interim basis. Force the issues, force Mittens to take a stand or hide and obfuscate. Force the media to give you free time by using your power and authority.

Mitten's wanted to avoid social issues while trying to appear moderate without pissing off the radical right. You've boxed him in on the social issues.

If the Supremes strike down HCA, strike back with an executive order.

And as soon as you possibly can, put through some sort of job stimulus -- not bankster piss-down, but DIRECT JOB STIMULUS through executive order or whatever. Force Mittens to define himself as anti-jobs or leave him fumbling for a policy.

Admittedly, advertising is also a job stimulus. BUT ACTION SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS....TAKE ACTION. OVER AND OVER AND OVER. 4 MONTHS TO MOVE IT FORWARD. JUST. DO. IT.

over and over so, every time they see a Rmoney ad they will be
reminded of Obama telling them the truth about "Citizens United"
and the ridiculous amount of money being spent to buy the election.

13. The problem is left-wing millionaires

One of the problems is that wealthy liberals and celebrities are not willing to donate the large amounts of $ that the Republican millionaires are.

As Bill Maher said earlier this year when he donated $1 million to Obama's SuperPAC, there are much wealthier liberal celebrities out there who should donate, but are not doing so. There are many liberals in Hollywood who can easily afford to donate millions to the Obama SuperPAC like Maher did. Why aren't they?

Unfortunately, the right-wing millionaires are much more motivated than the left-wing millionaires. If every wealthy celebrity gave $1 million like Maher did, we wouldn't have to worry about Obama being short of cash.

Perhaps they like to pay lip service, but at the end of the day are delighted with the perks of GOP administration, in spite of their concern about social issues and so forth.

Obviously conservative billionaires are very, very strong in their convictions, and obviously liberal billionaires know that if Romney wins, CU will become so entrenched that it will become absolutely necessary for Democrats to shift much, much further to the right on economic issues in order to tempt Koch & co to switch allegiance in future; yes, if Obama goes down that will become essential.

People can believe what they want, but until I see a left-leaning billionaire donating to the same extent as Koch, Sheldon what's his name and co, I'm even less likely to believe in their existance than I do God.
