2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumJoe Lieberman Excited about Jim Webb
I am encouraged by Sen. Webbs focus on bipartisanship in his campaign especially given his proven track record of success and that we have yet another candidate in the race so committed to working with Congress. As we have seen over the years, when our politicians toe the party line instead of collaborating, it is the American people who suffer the consequences. Partisan politics just doesnt work.
No Labels has a concerned and committed citizen army already on the ground in New Hampshire to spread the message of a return to bipartisanship in politics. Come October, No Labels will host a problem-solvers convention to give all of our presidential candidates the opportunity to showcase a bipartisan commitment to problem-solving and answer questions from New Hampshires most sought-after voters: independents.
With more and more presidential candidates acknowledging the need to work together, were eager to hear how our candidates propose our leaders stop fighting and start fixing.
I am excited that Sen. Jim Webb has shown a willingness to eschew party politics in favor of a new kind of politics: the politics of problem-solving.
