Native people are Feeling the Bern!

The KXL pipeline is just more of the GENOCIDAL BULLSHIT this country was founded on. NATIVE LIVES MATTER!

Have I mentioned a most excellent choice for Native Voters is Bernie Sanders? He isn't waiting for President Obama to reject the KXL pipeline permit to support our cause because unlike Hillary Clinton, his pockets aren't lined with corporate cash commitments. FEEL THE BERN! GO BERNIE!!!

http://feelthebern.org/bernie-sanders-on-native-american-rights/

Bernie Sanders respects and values Native Americans and believes the U.S. needs to support and work with Native Americans to improve their standard of living. Bernie supports the right of Native American tribes to self-govern and have sovereign jurisdiction over their lands. He also supports directly acknowledging our continuing history of mistreatment and racism against Native Americans and actively promotes measures to achieve justice for them.

Tribal Sovereignty: Native American tribes should have sovereign control over their lands.

Healthcare: Healthcare for Native Americans should be improved to better address medical needs and improve outcomes.

Acknowledging Racism: The history of gross mistreatment of Native Americans should be brought to and maintained in the public’s attention. Stereotypes and slurs against Native Americans should be discouraged and denounced.

Tuesday my Ute friend/co-worker said he finally watched one of the Bernie videos I had posted on FB and loved it. He called in his wife (Delaware) to watch it with him. They're on board and talking to their families.

Yesterday my Red Lake Ojibwa friend asked me when Bernie would come back to Kansas (he was here to speak at the LaRaza convention a while back). This is the same friend/co-worker who declared that our workplace was "Bernie Country" and has been talking to her family back in Minnesota about Bernie.

My boss, an enrolled Cherokee, is on board too.

My Kiowa aunt, a Republican, is posting and reposting Bernie stuff on FB.

Yep, Natives are feeling the Bern and supporting him.

But I am a radical in support of Native American rights.

IMO we should give the tribes the BLM land and let them bring back the buffalo. right now people like Bundy are greasing cattle on it and they are running it.

Then allow harvest of the buffalo once the herds are big enough. We sure as shit would have come out ahead had that been the case in the southern plains area early in the last century.

What I know is mostly from the Ken Burns documentary "The Dustbowl". They now irrigate from an aquifer that will eventually run out and not too far in the future. Then the native plants and animals will be about all that can survive out there anyway.
