Al Gore

He won the presidency in 2000 but for FL, Gov. Bush, that witch who was in charge of elections, and the Supreme Court. Bus loads of Republicans landed in FL to stop the chad-counting and disrupt the election where they could...misplaced ballots, trouble voting, etc. What an exciting but heartbreaking election that was.

The biggest mortification Gore suffered was losing Tennessee in the general election. I didn't understand why until 2014 when the lady running against McConnell refused Obama's support claiming she was a Clinton democrat (as did others who lost in other states). Obama and Gore are both pro-environment, but Gore was the strongest advocate of cleaning it up than anyone else at that time, and Tennessee being a mining state must have been angry with him and afraid of losing jobs...

Now we hear about climate warming, but it used to be the disappearing ozone layer, and Gore was and is concerned, and I hope he does run, win or lose, to draw more attention to the problems of oil, coal, etc., pollution.

If those misguided republicans can come up with 17 candidates, surely there are more worthy Democrats than the 5 we have now (Clinton, Sanders, Webb, O'Malley, and Chaffee). If there's 6, I can't think of him...Biden and Gore would be great additions.
