healthcare. One more battleground we will see with this flawed law on the way to universal healthcare unencumbered by "insurance" parasites.

Personally, I do not think it would be fair to saddle younger folks with a disportionate share of higher health costs of elderly, and I are one.

employee plans are based on large pools to balance out risk, this is why (even if you employer doesn't actually contribute to the plan, other than set it up) insurance at work is always cheaper than individual polices. My last employer gave each employee $200 for insurance to spend as they wish and we picked up the rest, no difference between men and women. I also worked for a company once where if you were not full time but wanted the insurance you could pay both parts, similar to cobra, and once again there were no difference for men or women.
