I have only quibble with the article, Cory Booker endorsed Hillary Clinton, he did recently praise Sanders for his record on Civil Rights, however to my knowledge he is still supporting Clinton in the primaries.

I just read the article and it appears to be pretty accurate regarding the content, except for the one issue I mentioned, which is fairly minor.

So unless there has been a ban on writers, journalists etc posting their own material here, then I do not see the problem.

Because it may reflect positively on Bernie Sanders.

Funny how all of a sudden it's attack the author (or are they attacking the OP...who knows?) because he doesn't provide details to make those critical of the article.

Spam? Alerting? Violations of the TOS? Doesn't even make sense.

The OP is named rsexaminer, his profile says he writes for the Examiner and all of his posts link to his articles on Examiner. He joined to get clicks from DU members for his own editorials. He is a spam merchant.

Don't let the fact that his articles tend to favor Bernie sway you. He is a human spambot.

before, and I don't recall the word 'spam' being used in reference to them. Thom Harmann eg, has been a member here for a long time and regularly posted his work on DU. Max Keiser was another, and Will Pitt also.

they can point to as non factual.

So let me post some points made by the author we know to be true:

New Jersey Sen. Corey Booker is a supporter of Sanders, saying "Bernie has become somebody I have tremendous respect for," noting "he has a long record of civil rights." Former Hillary Clinton supporter, rapper Lil B, has come out to now endorse Sanders. "I mean, if he was marching for civil rights back then, he was protesting against segregation," the rapper said during a recent interview with CNN, "all the youth, the black youth, should be able to hear him out."

It's not just African Americans outside the campaign that have come out for Sanders, but within as well. Earlier this month, Sanders appointed an African American women as his national press secretary. Symone Sanders, a 25-year-old Black Lives Matter activist, has been brought on board to continue the Sanders' push to the Democratic nomination. In addition to Symone Sanders, an African American named Marcus Ferrell had already been on the campaign team as the senator's Southeastern political director.

The only question I have re Booker, who did recently praise Sanders' Civil Rights record, is that as far as I know, he is still a Hillary supporter. Other than that, everything there is true and has been posted here with links in other OPs.

I also read today that only 33% of AAs even know who Bernie is. And that 23% of AAs support him.

So there is nothing at all for him to worry about. Name recognition was always the main challenge he had to face. At 3% in the polls before he announced, those numbers began to change quickly as people got to know him.

Nonsense to call this spamming. We have other authors here who post their own work.

Authors are paid by page clicks; he isn't here to promote his work beyond going people click on his links. It is pure unadulterated spam, as even Bernie supporters on this thread and in the other one linked in the thread above are also pointing out.

Thom Hartmann and Max Keiser have posted their work here among others. When was there a rule implemented that says a writer can only post here 'based on the pay model of the author's publication' ? I'm not aware of such a rule.

Let me know if you spot a trend. Then let me know if he participated on DU in any way other than his OPs.

And no, Examiner is unique and very shitty. Its contributors aren't edited in anyway (which the OP happily proves), are regularly accused of theft and outright plagiarism, and is run by a right-wing business. The op isn't here to show anyone the light; he just wants his fractions of cents for people to click on his click-bait link.

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

Possible terms of service violation for spamming.

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Sun Aug 16, 2015, 01:06 AM, and the Jury voted 2-5 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: ToS states: No spammers.
Do not spam Democratic Underground with commercial advertising or promotions.
Neither the post, nor the article listed was an advertisement nor promotion (at least not non-political) therefor it doesn't meet the criteria of being spam according to the ToS. If I'm to make judgements based on violations of the ToS then I must follow directions of the ToS. Whether it's "clickbait" or not is irrelevant as it's a valid article that is neither offensive nor an advertisement, just opinionated.
If the poster has a history of spamming links to this site that is the responsibility of mirt as I can only judge based on the evidence presented here.
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: This is the most stoopid, fucked up alert in the history of DU. Fuck this shit.
Juror #3 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: poster's profile -it says he is a free lance writer for examiner com.
This is the second such alert on this poster I've seen.
The link as it is ,I don't know what's in it because I didn't click on it.
A poster says it's a good story.
The post seems non offensive and it doesn't bother me. The ignore button is always an option.
Juror #7 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given

Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

He only comes on DU to get people to click on his own poorly written blog articles on Examiner. He never participated in any threads outside of doing so. Considering the Examiner pays by page views, he doesn't care what criticism his posts are met with as long as people click the link.
