POP QUIZ: Name the best President in American history... in your opinion.

Last edited Sun Aug 16, 2015, 10:20 AM - Edit history (1)

Now check and see if he was a millionaire.

I've got a 79% chance of making my point...

The meme that Hillary isn't qualified to be president because she is a 1%er is bull, this historical context shows that.

Is it that all wealthy people aren't bad? If so, that isn't something anyone here would argue.

Except that some people here see wealth as an automatic disqualification for the job.

As one of this boards most prolific posters, you are very well aware it is the truth.

He could have made himself king and instead stepped down after two terms. He set the model for all others.

in the minds of some because she has exceeded her place in life. JFK was entitled to be rich. He was male, same with FDR and the others. Hillary has earned a whole lot of money from writing a book and speaking fees, money that she has no right to because she is a woman. It is similar to why Oprah Winfrey's wealth is seen as unacceptable yet Elon Musk's and Bill Maher's is okay.

not the same for JFK, Bushes, the Roosevelts. And not the same as Presidential hopefuls such as Jeb Bush, Trump, Chafee, etc.
