RUNNEMEDE, N.J. (AP) - A New Jersey woman has used her obituary to make a final request to friends and family: Please don't vote for Hillary Rodham Clinton for president. Elaine Fydrych's husband said Wednesday she was a registered Democrat and not "a political person."
But he said she grew to strongly dislike Clinton after the deadly 2012 attacks in Benghazi and believed Clinton's handling of the matter as secretary of state was "terrible."
A bipartisan report on the Benghazi attack spread blame among the State Department, the military and U.S. intelligence but didn't name Clinton.
Joe Fydrych, of Runnemede, said his 63-year-old wife told him a few weeks before she died Aug. 13 of her plan for her obituary. She told him it was up to him whether to include the line about Clinton, but he said he felt he had to honor his wife's wishes. The last line of her obituary says: "Elaine requests, 'In lieu of flowers, please do not vote for Hillary Clinton.'"

(114,904 posts)You? You just couldn't resist the opportunity to smear Bernie supporters by claiming they would have.
And you have the unmitigated gall to run around day in and day out posting how awful bernie's supporters are.
Wow, that's some cognitive dissonance you have going on.

(135,425 posts)she can't cancel out his wingnutty vote any more. He's probably dancing a jig and thrilled that she can't boss him around, and he's feeling his oats.
And of course, she is dead, and she can't speak up. I think anyone who makes their dead relative an object of divisiveness, no matter what they may or may not have said as they're medicated and dying, is an asshole.

Direct personal attack on a poster.
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Wed Aug 19, 2015, 06:04 PM, and the Jury voted 2-5 to LEAVE IT.
Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Cali didn't cross any line with this post. Geez, I've had worse things said about me and I didn't get upset about the whole deal. Bluejazz
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: You know damn well this would have ended up here, so I saved you the trouble of clicking on your mouse/keyboard.
Seems a fair retort for GD-P. Leave.
Juror #4 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Normally I think Cali posts are fine, but the post being replied to has no reference to Bernie Sanders at all so this is a blatant attack and should be hidden.
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I think cali is 100% right. The post implies that SOMEONE would have posted it in GD, and that someone would probably have been a Bernie Sanders supporter. Who else are we to think the OP was saying would have posted it?
Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Poster is correct and the HRC supporting alert stalker is a disgrace to this site. LEAVE IT.

(45,806 posts)would NEVER even think to put something like that in their obit! I don't believe she was a Dem either. The only thing thst would have convinced her that Hillary mishandled Benghazi was FOX NEWS and the Pubs who just won't accept "no (mishandling) for an answer.

Benghazi, of all things. It was a silly non-story and Bernie Sanders supporters will probably start using it because if they do I'll finally have something concrete I can contradict them on.

(6,283 posts)I would have bet my next paycheck that more than a few er, anti-Hillary folks would have pounced on this like a cat on a mouse if you hadn't beat them to it. Like everything else though, easy enough to claim the moral high ground after the fact.

(11,709 posts)There always seems to be one or two of these during a presidential election and it seems wrong to try to guilt someone out of voting their conscience with a death plea.
I'd much rather see someone vote for Bernie, than vote against Hillary or O'Malley.

(2,331 posts)Cause I can't get an email address to let her know why I'm ignoring her wishes. Because if she actually was a Democrat and believed the Benghazi nonsense anyway then she truly was a political nitwit who was unaware of the 10+ attacks on embassy/consulates and 40 Americans dead during the GWB years not to mention 9-11.
