Related: About this forumKarl Rove's Crossroads blames "War on Women" on President Obama
http://livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/entries/crossroads-brings-back-war-on-womenThe message seems to be that the real "War on Women" is NOT the gazillions of Republican-sponsored and Republican-signed (in the states) anti-choice laws, transvaginal ultrasound laws, or attacks on funding for Planned Parenthood. No, it's President Obama and the Democrats whom are waging the real war on women because the economy- that President Obama inherited from Karl's boss, George W. Bush and the Republicans whom controlled Congress for 75% of his eight-year term term in office- sucks and is still being fixed by President Obama and the Democratic Party (with no help from the Republicans BTW).
Try again, Karl!

(16,375 posts)It's disturbingly good and could actually move a disquieting number of undecided, low info and weak D voters --- women voters.

(24,438 posts)BTW are you being sarcastic? They're trying to make the guy who signed Lily Ledbetter Act and pushing for another equality in the workplace bill and NOT supporting anti-choice laws, transvaginal ultrasounds, and defunding Planned Parenthood as "anti-woman" just because the economy happens to suck (for everybody BTW) right now? And you believe that (D) women voters might buy this *reasoning*????

(16,987 posts)At least since this past winter the local ABC affiliate has been airing one or two variations of an ad targeted at females in the sandwich generation -- i.e., with children at home and vulnerable aged parents. This time, though, the message is delivered in the first person, with the unseen female speaker playacting the part of a disappointed former supporter of Obama who's seeing mom's Medicare cut and her own health insurance premiums go up (Never mind that health insurance premiums sometimes doubled during the last Bush administration).

(24,438 posts)because of "Medicare cuts" and health insurance premium increases (which would've gone up no matter who was POTUS) clearly aren't paying attention to the radical right's anti-woman agenda Mitt Romney will gladly sign into law if elected.
Edit to add: That ad was...........surreal
