MSNBC Host Says Hillary Used Murdered WDBJ Journalists to Cover Up Email Remarksby Tommy Christopher | 2:56 pm, August 27th, 2015
Whatever you think of the Clinton so-called email scandal, there can be little doubt that it fits right in with a deranged, decades-long campaign to paint former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as a cross between Keyser Soze and Heisenberg. If you still somehow doubt this, then consider that the host of the Beltways most influential political news show actually said, out loud, that Hillary used the live on-air murders of two Virginia journalists to cover up well, that part is unclear.
<...>
Or, if youre Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough, this is clearly an attempt by Clinton to cover up the email scandal with the corpses of the two journalists who were murdered on live television yesterday, because well, just because:

(6,409 posts)That shows some real imagination, to suggest Clinton campaign operatives sent this guy on a rampage to divert attention.

(19,326 posts)it does to 95% towards saying that, and stops just short of it, for
obvious reasons, e.g. lawsuits & blowback.

(10,721 posts)He wasn't remotely suggesting that Clinton's campaign sent the guy to commit those murders. He was saying that she chose to give her press conference while the media was focused on the shooting in Virginia.

(19,326 posts)Like I didn't know that. Please.
It' was a smarmy sickening insinuation, NOT that Hillary hired a hit man;
but that the presser timing was awkward. But it's the kind of ham-fisted
smarmy hate-bait that enflames bitter hostility toward Hillary, and she
doesn't deserve that. no fucking way. No candidate does.

(10,721 posts)If you were being sarcastic, I apologize. It seemed like you were more or less agreeing with the poster who wrote, "That shows some real imagination, to suggest Clinton campaign operatives sent this guy on a rampage to divert attention."

That saying "Hillary used the live on-air murders" as a cover-up, to her political
advantage is ugly, absurd and misleading; when she was the first one on the air
after the tragedy to call for much tougher gun-control laws.
Yes, the innuendo is buried, but it's an ugly undertone that is unwarranted and
designed to gin-up hatred towards Hillary. Not cool in my book.
And I'm a Sanders supporter who detests many of her policy positions.

(10,721 posts)The confusion was over you seeming to disagree with arcane's point that what Hassle posted was a misrepresentation of what Scarborough said.
Hassle wrote, "That shows some real imagination, to suggest Clinton campaign operatives sent this guy on a rampage to divert attention."
Arcane then replied to Hassle by saying that isn't what was said.
You then replied to Arcane by saying, "Maybe not EXACTLY what he said, but still..it does to 95% towards saying that, and stops just short of it, for obvious reasons, e.g. lawsuits & blowback."
So, it sure seemed like you were more or less agreeing with Hassle that Scarborough was suggesting that "Clinton campaign operatives sent this guy on a rampage to divert attention"

(19,326 posts)I could see the point HassleCat was making, and I still do.
There is what reporters actually SAY verbatim, then there is
another more subterranean undertone to what they are saying,
which is what HassleCat was taking liberties to decipher.
I still feel HassleCat was in the ball park, but if you and Arcane1
want to take issue with it, that's cool.
Let's just say, I'm standing aside, as the Quakers say.

Garrett78
(10,721 posts)The White House will often "drop" (or dump) information on a Friday if they don't want it getting a lot of media coverage, based on the idea that people don't watch much news on the weekend.
And Scarborough is basically making that argument, that Clinton chose to have have the press conference when the media was preoccupied. Is he right? Probably not. But he certainly wasn't insinuating that the Clinton campaign hired a hit man.

Garrett78
(10,721 posts)you continue to suggest that Scarborough was insinuating that Clinton's camp hired a hit man, which is pure lunacy. He really wasn't. It's actually quite clear what he was saying if you listen to the video or read the full text. He wasn't implying anything beyond the notion that Clinton held her press conference when the media was preoccupied. Period.
