On May 15, 2003 the Lieberman campaign proposed one nationally-broadcast, media-sponsored debate a month. Following up on the proposal, the DNC coordinated with the campaigns and on June 27 announced plans for six presidential primary debates

because he addresses reality with facts and hard proposals, not word salad and platitudes.

Six is fine - but we need one in September. For Bernie in states with large minorities and for O'Malley in the square states in the middle of the country.

If either one takes the nomination - the sooner we can give them exposure to running statewide with demographics they aren't used to having to win - the better.
