(22,308 posts)Hardly what the OP seemed to be presenting as "Loud and Proud".
My characterization was easily as accurate as the OP. Both are biased, but it would seem that mine is no more so that the OP.
OK, maybe about 80 dozen. Dozens is still an accurate description. Clearly saying thousands would have been wrong. Hundreds would have been the most accurate estimate from that picture, but you and I both know I would have been attacked for that too.

(18,402 posts)I do, because I worked two presidential primary cycles there (2000 and 2004) when I lived in the Boston area. I spent five or six months doing on the ground work all around the towns and burgs and cities and suburbs of southern New Hampshire. People there expect the candidates to show up at their small town squares, in the local shoe store, at the pancake breakfast at the VFW outpost. They want intimate, one-on-one experiences with the candidates. Then, in the fall, it progresses to local town halls in small (the real "town hall" and then increasingly large (high-school auditorium) venues. Large scale "rallies" are not held until the final month before the primaries--they're to pep up already committed supporters, not as ways of attracting new voters.
Clinton is doing precisely what New Hampshire-ites are used to and expect. Mingling with them.

Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has drawn huge crowds recently. He packed Drake Universitys auditorium, drew 1,000 people in New Hampshire, and the attendance was estimated at 5,000 at a stop in Minnesota.
