No wonder "dishonest" is the first word people associate with her. She can't even keep her stories straight from one day to the next.

Hillary Clinton 'Sorry' Her Use Of Private E-Mail Has Raised Questions
Hillary Clinton on Tuesday told ABC News David Muir that using a personal email account while Secretary of State was a mistake and that she is sorry for it.
"That was a mistake. Im sorry about that. I take responsibility, the Democratic presidential candidate told Muir in an exclusive interview in New York City.
This is the farthest Clinton has gone yet in offering an apology for her use of a private email server while Secretary of State.
....................
On Tuesday, Clinton maintained that she did not send or receive classified material on the account and reiterated she is trying to be as transparent as I possibly can in her handling of the email controversy.
Clintons interview, her first national television interview with an evening news anchor since launching her campaign five months ago, comes after a rocky summer where she faced growing scrutiny over her email account as well as dropping poll numbers.

What does that have to do with anything?
My buddy always talks about having skin in the game. You seem to be cocksure Ms. Clinton will be indicted. I would literally bet my life she won't be. I won't ask you to take that wager. However I have a verified pay pal account. We both put $500.00 in it. If Ms Clinton is indicted I will donate $500.00 to the charity of your choice. If Ms. Clinton isn't indicted you donate $500.00 to the charity of my choice:

It's about what the heck is going on? Can she be serious about the apology? What parsing is hiding in the apology to serve her? etc.
This meta-conversation is going to burn on its own for a little while.

Now, "I'm sorry and take responsibility."
I hope she is apologizing to Democrats for shooting herself and the primary campaign in the foot. Her poor judgment has been an unecessary distraction. And it is a long way from over.

(16,286 posts)but that anybody did anything wrong is the non story, anybody other than the CIA, I am sure they fucked that whole thing up but it has nothing to do with the administration anymore than the dozen similar incidents under Bush did.

(26,366 posts)I'm sorry about that," Clinton said in an at-times emotional interview on ABC News' "World News Tonight with David Muir," acknowledging that she should have used separate accounts for work and personal business. "I take responsibility and I am trying to be as transparent as I possibly can."
Clinton later issued a slightly different apology in the interview, saying she was "sorry that it has raised all these questions."
The former first lady also posted a personal apology on Facebook Tuesday night, saying, "I wanted you to hear this directly from me: Yes, I should have used two email addresses, one for personal matters and one for my work at the State Department. Not doing so was a mistake. I'm sorry about it, and I take full responsibility."
Her facebook post:
Yes, I should have used two email addresses, one for personal matters and one for my work at the State Department. Not doing so was a mistake. I'm sorry about it, and I take full responsibility.
It's important for you to know a few key facts. My use of a personal email account was aboveboard and allowed under the State Department's rules. Everyone I communicated with in government was aware of it. And nothing I ever sent or received was marked classified at the time.
As this process proceeds, I want to be as transparent as possible. That's why I've provided all of my work emails to the government to be released to the public, and why I'll be testifying in public in front of the Benghazi Committee later next month.
I know this is a complex story. I could haveand should havedone a better job answering questions earlier. I'm grateful for your support, and I'm not taking anything for granted.
I understand that you may have more questions, and I am going to work to keep answering them. If you want to read more, including my emails themselves, please go here:
