Chris Christie, Hillary Clinton and many other presidential hopefuls are haunted by fake followers on Twitter.

Almost half of Chris Christie’s followers on Twitter are fake. This makes him the presidential candidate with the highest number of fake followers, according to Vocativ.

Hillary Clinton comes in second, with 35 percent fake followers, while presidential candidates Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders have as many as 90 percent real followers, and only 10 percent fake ones.

I believe that name recognition has a lot to do with the number of her followers. Not to mention conservatives follow her and bash her 24/7.

Bernie seems to have his account(s), and the people that follow him perpetuate his messages so that they reverberate through out all of social media.

Two different online audit tools say no more than 44 per cent of Hillary's 3.6 million Twitter fans are real people who participate in the platform

The newly minted presidential candidate is fending off accusations that her Facebook page is full of fake 'likes'

Her Facebook fan base includes more people from Baghdad, Iraq than any US city

When she was secretary of state, her agency paid $630,000 to bulk up its Facebook likes, but pledged to stop after she left

Her fraudiness goes to the bone.

When it comes to fake Twitter followers, Hillary Clinton is winning the presidential race by a landslide. Clinton has more fake followers and a higher ratio of bogus Twitter fans than any of the other main 2016 presidential contenders, a Vocativ analysis shows.

On the other end of the scale, the candidates with the lowest percentage of fake Twitter followers are Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders. Contrary to what one might guess from his reputation for extravagant self-promotion, Trump’s 2.6 million Twitter followers are 90 percent real people. Only 311,388 were deemed fake by the analysis using the tool TwitterAudit.

Bernie Sanders was tied for the highest ratio of authentic followers—90 percent of his 300,000-plus followers are real people. Then comes Gov. Jeb Bush with 89% of his followers registering as real. On the bottom of the Twitter list is Clinton, with a whopping 35 percent of her 2.3 million Twitter followers coming up as fake.

TwitterAudit, a social media analysis tool, says on its website that it judges a Twitter account’s authenticity based on its number of tweets, the date of its last tweet and the ratio of its followers to friends. The fake Twitter accounts can be bots, which are accounts run by automated software programming. They can also be accounts created by real people but with an agenda of spreading political advertisements. But under both scenarios, they are certainly not a genuine measure of candidate popularity.

As SOS, she bought $630,000 Facebook likes.

While Clinton was America’s top diplomat, her State Department was buying Facebook 'likes,’ according to an Associated Press report from last year. 'In 2013, the State Department, which has more than 400,000 likes and was recently most popular in Cairo, said it would stop buying Facebook fans after its inspector general criticized the agency for spending $630,000 to boost the numbers,’ the wire service reported. Clinton left the agency while the inspector general was investigating.

Now Candidate Clinton is aggressively buying Facebook likes from third world countries.

for the US State department...........

State Department bureau spent $630,000 on Facebook 'likes'

State Department officials spent $630,000 to get more Facebook "likes," prompting employees to complain to a government watchdog that the bureau was "buying fans" in social media, the agency's inspector general says.

The department's Bureau of International Information Programs spent the money to increase its "likes" count between 2011 and the beginning of 2013

The sub-reddit for Bernie is amazingly well organized, there are 104,643 subscribers and 1793 online as of just now; the sub-reddit for Hillary has 652 subscribers, non currently online.

The reddit group raises money, is very well organized, there is a sub-reddit for each state, they have real grass-roots enthusiasm. Reddit discovered Bernie through some AMA's he did. They love his policies. They believe him on the issues. They don't hate Hillary; they just do not care about her, she is the old way personified, and that old way has done them no favors. Who do you think goes to get killed when Hillary boasts she will certainly have a "muscular" foreign policy?

The younger people do not even see the fancy ads. They don't care about them. They look things up for themselves. They will not do what the DNC wants them to do if Bernie is not the candidate. They see no point. That is on the DNC, and that has been years in the making.

Winning social media is not how many followers you can buy. That is laughable at best.
