Former congressman Joe Kennedy (D-Mass.) is mourning the death of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez today, praising Chavez as someone who made a difference for poor people.

Kennedy told the AP that Chavez helped 2 million Americans through a heating assistance program that the two men worked on together through Kennedy's Citizen's Energy charity. Kennedy said Chavez donated 200 million gallons of heating oil over eight years.

http://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/hillary-clinton-gets-another-super-pac

Super PACs are typically prohibited by law from coordinating with candidates, but Correct the Record will not be a typical super PAC. The group will not run ads, but instead does all of its work online, which it says will allow it to coordinate with the Clinton campaign.

The so-called “Internet exemption” was not intended to be used this way
(it was created before the existence of super PACs), the Washington Post notes, but experts say Correct the Record is unlikely to face reprisal.

Hillary Rodham Clinton and her supporters are the natural enemies of the socialist impetus that brought Chavez to power, and wow, do they hate Chavez!

They are totally unfeeling, in their hate.

there was hunger in the villages and they helped. Fuck these wankers. This is a giant f-you to the poor in this country if they do this and I can just HEAR bernie call them out for it. Tin ear, stone hearts, these people. No wonder they support her.

We were hurting badly back in 2008 and Chavez was a hero out there.

You'd think Hillary would know that since she is supposedly an adopted New Yorker.

but she is a big money corporatist first.

and you're right. I have family up in that region. The winters have been brutal, and people did literally freeze to death in their own homes. Chavez is somewhat of a folk hero in some regions.

it's just more evidence of how unplugged she truly is to the concerns of people who are not megarich.
