Clinton's outreach to white women voters continues with "softer interviews"

as her support from them drops from 71% to 42% in 8 weeks.

To stop her recent skid in the polls, Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton is targeting women voters, a group that is key to her campaign. Andrea Mitchell reports for TODAY.

"Hillary Clinton is reaching out to that group that she had always counted on, white women voters, who are now abandoning her in droves during the last two months," NBC's Andrea Mitchell reported on Tuesday's Today show.

Now, while I may like the new presentations, I think they are contrived because of that announcement.

Her team is isn't doing well by her IMO.

I was aghast at an interview with Palmieri, when she not only looked slipshod, but could not speak more than one sentence without using the fillers of "ums" and "ahs" throughout. And she is the director of the campaign's communications!

HRC also speaks in this manner when questioned, especially about a topic about which she goes into defensive mode like Emails. Drives me nuts. Once I notice it, it soon becomes ALL I notice.

Nor do I give a flying fuck that Kim Kardashian attended one of her fund raisers.

In fact, I go out of my way to avoid news and even mention of Kim Kardashian.

She needs to be less careful, less groomed and less reliant on her handlers.

I think she would make more of an impact if she simply relies on herself, her own instincts.

I can't imagine her just doing whatever handlers suggest, and BEING groomed. She seems far too independent and strong-willed to be that wishy-washy. I think all this stuff is generated in response to her inclinations and approved by her, and can't be blamed on the advisors.

Her own instincts? I think she is instinctively secretive and cynical, and that drives her constantly changing personas. She really believes she should say & do whatever she thinks is needed to get what she wants (not whatever is authentic) because "that's how the game is played" and "that's what everyone else does" and "just say what people want to hear, then do what you want later."

Feedback says people want her to be more authentic and less programmed, so she has her people come up with a 10 point roadmap with carefully programmed steps on how she is going to "display more authentic spontaneity"

Basically, her campaign was going to end if she lost both IA and NH. So she let herself be far less stage-managed. And she won.

With her campaign viability restored, she went back to focus-group-Clinton...and then lost the nomination.

I'd have thought that this would be the lesson she would have learned from 2008. Instead, it appears all she learned was "need black vote".

we know what happens when she thinks she’s won. Stage-managed, mean-spirited Hillary. No thanks.

You know, I think the thing for me that separates Bernie from the rest of them is that I believe Bernie wants to be President because he wants people to have better lives. I just get this sense that he knows its a sucky, thankless, dangerous job but he’s going to do it because he wants to help.

Hillary just wants her coronation. There is something, i dunno, twisted about how Hillary is going about this AGAIN that makes me feel as though its all about her ego, or to paraphrase the Romney campaign “If not Hillary then who”? She’s gotten it into her head that her destiny is to be the first female president and by god she’s going to do it and no one is going to stand in her way.

Lordy, no one cares. Just like no one cares that Hillary is a grandma. It is so condescending and transparent that it just pisses this white woman off. Obama could do the softer interviews because people trusted and liked him. The general public doesn't like or trust Hillary. These interviews won't fix that problem.

if elected. That won't be Chelsea going overseas, that will be our families and friends. A lot of us women voters have seen our jobs go to H-1B visa holders. Does she think we all sit around and watch Oprah? really? is she that out of touch? That is not presidential material.

And - how much more condescending can she possibly get? We are not electing a den mother.

tried to vote for her the first time she ran but could not because I decided she was too hawkish.

Same thing this time except I don't see her as "hawkish" - - I see her as a HAWK.

She lost me completely when she made her speech for the Iran treaty. I am for the treaty - but she sounded to me like she would prefer war. I'm not even sure how she managed to do that.

The longer she goes the more Republican she sounds. The email crap is just Republican garbage - anyone who lived through the Clinton smears in the White House recognizes that. So is Benghazi. But her foreign policy, TPP, energy, Monsanto, supporting neoconservatives...... just can't hang with her. I tried.
