Related: About this forumHow f***ing patronizing is that RNC ad
that says, "he tried, you tried, it's okay to make a change". It pisses me off every time I see it!

It really sums up the only hope the RNC and Romney have (that people will vote anti-Obama) because Repubs have no answers or any new ideas.
It's not going to work. Elections are a choice and hardly anybody likes Romney and his tired old ideas that will basically be Bush 2.0.

(2,307 posts)They should take the same words, but when the RNC ad give a negative stat they should give the positive. As an example, when they states the number of unemployment being over 8% for so many months the ad needs to replace that by stating the 100s of thousands of jobs created. Another would be how the Republican majority in the House has blocked each and every plan the president has put forth, how the Republican minority in the Senate filibusters the presidents plans. End with a similar we tried the Republican way for 8 years, we tried giving the tea party a chance, it's okay to make a change, now give Obama a fair chance and elect a congress which will work with President Obama instead of working against him as their ONLY goal.
I realize the RNC, Romney and their Super-Pacs have more money and raise more money but this is an ad which need to be disputed. There may not be enough money for a one for one viewing but I am tired of seeing these without a defense.

(37,326 posts)It was reported that this was poll-tested and proven most effective among women who voted for Obama last time. I see the ad like every 10 minutes.

While the argument is that it gives permission for previous Obama voters to defect, I see it as an insult to my judgement. All depends on the strength of your convictions, I guess.

(9,267 posts)My first thought was "well, we were open-minded and gave the black guy a chance, and sorry he couldn't cut it." Very subtly patronizing and yes, racist.
And like all the Romney ads--what are YOU going to do to make things better? Crickets.
