http://www.forbes.com/sites/rickungar/2012/01/21/romney-supervised-medical-testing-company-guilty-of-massive-medicare-fraud/In 1989, Bain Capital purchased controlling interest in Damon Corp., a medical testing company located in Needham, Massachusetts.
During the time that Bain held its ownership of the company, Mitt Romney personally sat on the Board of Directors. And during that same period, Damon Corp. was busy submitting fraudulent reimbursement claims to Medicare to the tune of millions of dollars charged for unnecessary blood tests.
Wow, this guy has shady deal after shady deal, I really think there is an endless pit filled with Romney scandal after scandal. Seriously, I think that so many scandals will come out between now and November that a portion of the public might just become numb to them. I found this on FREEP. Imagine if this was a Democratic Candidate for President? It would be the lead story on every network for weeks.

(19,066 posts)These are explosive charges IMO. It's another indictment of the type of capitalism Romney practiced, taking over companies, not caring what that company is doing and then making a profit from their sale. Romney was on the board and supervising this company, but he could care less about their practices, he just wanted to turn a buck.
It's possible that he knew all about the fraud, he certainly didn't provide the necessary oversight to stop it, but more likely he was just another absentee boss who only cared about the bottom line. He was negligent in the fact that he was not a good steward of this company when he was in charge of it. How can this guy be expected to weed out waste and fraud at the Presidential level when he couldn't even be counted on to pay attention to massive fraud at a company like this?
If the facts in the article bear out, this could be catastrophic for a Mitt Romney run at the White House. Just shameful that the tyoe of business Romney was engaged in left no room to oversee anything his companies did.
